Here at Atlantis of Kilmore Quay we have worked hard to build our reputation for delivering quality fresh fish and seafood to our customers and our focus continues to be on bringing you the best products. We have spent a lot of time forging partnerships with suppliers to ensure a constant supply of the freshest Irish products for our customers. This week we are focusing on our supplier Kingfisher Fresh Ltd who we have been working with for over 10 years.
Kingfisher Fresh Ltd was founded in 2007 by Michelle O’Neill and Brian Everard with a view to driving positive change in Ireland’s seafood Industry. The company works with Irish Fishermen to provide 100% fresh, wild, whole seafood caught in Irish coastal waters to supply Atlantis of Kilmore Quay.
At the heart of the operation lies the fishermen, some of whom have been supplying their quality catch since the very beginning. Kingfisher work closely with a core fleet of Irish owned fishing vessels, handpicked because of their commitment to sustainable practices and core values that align with their own. They work as a team to bring the catch to market, quality over quantity.
Kingfisher are driven to provide ongoing support to their fishermen in whatever way they can. The fishermen use best practice health & safety processes on all commercial vessels, with well trained crews. Kingfisher support these fishermen and their families to understand and tackle the issue of staying safe at sea.
Atlantis of Kilmore Quay and Kingfisher Fresh share similar values and are both committed to protecting the future of Irelands fishing industry and minimising the environmental impact. They are fellow members of Origin Green and partner in the White Fish Fishery Improvement Project (FIP) – two great programmes working towards sustainability. They are continuously working with the support of Bord Lascaigh Mhara to find and use improved fishing methods, focusing more than ever on conservation and sustainability measures to secure the future of the fishing industry and protect our environment.

We source the following products from Kingfisher Fresh, cod, haddock, hake, monk fish, lemon sole, red gurnard, red mullet, black sole, brill, turbot, john dory and Dublin bay prawns.
