How Often Should We Eat Fish
We love seafood and we could quite happily have it every day of the week! There’s so much variety - you would hardly have to have the same meal twice!
But that’s just us…
For normal, non-Atlantis people, the American Heart Association tells us that eating fish - in particular oily fish - at least twice a week helps to reduce our risk of heart disease and stroke.
Omega 3 Fatty Acids
Having fish more often could be even better for your heart - especially if it is replacing meals with red meat.
Oily fish is fish that has higher levels of Omega 3 fatty acids like salmon, trout, mackerel, sardines, herring and tuna.
What the heck is Omega 3? Omega 3 fatty acids are polyunsaturated fatty acids that our bodies need but can’t make so we have to get them through the foods we eat.

There is also a link between Omega 3 from fish and better mental health - have a read about that here.
Eating fish at least twice a week is not only delicious, but can be good for your heart and help you to feel happier!
