AT1206 - Irish Surf Clams

Clams are a lean source of protein and selenium.

Latin Name: Mactridae

Allergens

Molluscs

Your Irish Surf Clam will arrive to you alive specially packed to keep them alive, fresh and ready for cooking.
Clams are best eaten on the day of delivery and should definitely be eaten within 3 days. Store in the fridge in a shallow dish covered with a clean damp towel or papertowels. Do not store live clams in water or in an airtight container. Scrub shells just before shucking or cooking. If you see that a shell has opened, give it a tap. It will close again if the clam is still alive. If it stays open, make sure to discard it.

Provenance

Our Irish Surf Clams are harvested off the coast of Galway by Kelly Oysters. These beautiful jewels of the sea thrive in the colder waters of the Atlantic. We are committed to sourcing our fish and seafood from Irish waters whenever possible to maintain high standards of sustainability, quality and freshness.
